I agree about too few posts. There is such an active Full Timers section, but Snowbirds don't seem to be as vocal. I have chosen to snowbird rather than full time and would be interested in others' snowbirding experiences vs full timing. Maybe because this section is at the very bottom & people don't scroll down this far? I was specifically looking for this section so scrolled till I found it.

If you select last 12 months from the drop down menu there are at least 18 pages. Go back to last Winter & see the fun we all had.

Yeah - it ain't snowbird season yet! Check again about mid-October - mid-November - that is when most of us start moving to warmer grounds!! Although a lot of us are not Snowbirds but are Winter Texans.

I gather the blog would be less active in summer. We did our fist "snowbird" experience last winter in Florida. I think this Forum is outstanding and I have learned so much and got a lot of valuable help. Just wish there were more on this blog (snowbirds)and would like to see more on areas other than Texas. No offense to the Texas snowbirds.

Got to convince those AZ & FL snowbirds to post more. Maybe they don't want the crowds to get any bigger?

Just yesterday I went back to the RV.net gathering at Victoria Palms in the Rio Grande Valley post. That caused me to re-check the Activities thread. Some real good reading there. Looking forward to some more of those adventures this season. But like most, we're not trying to wish our summer in the north away just to get back to the RGV with our winter friends. We like it here too.

I read this forum about everyday. We snowbird in Arizona and just love it. Lots to do at home this summer. Community picnic at our lake is tomorrow, so have been busy making salads and deviled eggs. Went to the dollar store today, took 2 8 yr olds with me, needed help picking out small 1 and 2 dollar game prizes. Had a great time..they were a wonderful help..Weather here is pleasant, not too much humidity, partly cloudy. Could not do Az in the summer, no matter how much I love it in the winter..I would just melt- hope all are having fun this summer..Dona
