No, I didn't hit any even though I'm towing my Road Runner with the Ventana for the first time.
I start in the truck lanes since my combo is about 62 feet long. I insert the Flying J discount card (first ever use). All is hunky dorey. It asks for a credit card, so I swipe mine.
Now the pump goes bonkers. They had a power outage earlier in the morning. Two maintenance guys come over and can't figure out how to fix it.
I move to the next pump over which a large rig had just finished using. It says "card error" every time I try to use it. The maintenance guy comes over and tries his card and gets the same error.
I move over to the RV lane. I just barely cleared the pump post with the trailer. I try my Flying J card. This pump goes bonkers with strange errors.
So, I go inside and leave my driver's license so she can authorize the pump. I tell her to authorize the pump on the other side of the MH. Finally, I'm able to pump some black gold, go back inside, swipe the Flying J card, credit card and get out.

Next time try:
First the credit card.
Then the "loyalty card" when the display asks for it.
Found out the hard way this is the way it works at both the RV pumps and the truck pumps at least in Texas and Oklahoma.

1. sliding CC first will apply CC limit on the purchase, what on some cards is $75. on others $100
2. using truck pump with CC will give you higher price, than RV pump
3. FlyingJ used to be good place to fill up, but lately I found it just to annoying waiting in car, or RV line, when some customers spend 15 minutes trying to pay at the desk. At this point I am considering using other stations. Especially since the discount no longer apply.
We do have several truck stops in CA, that beat FlyingJ cash prices.

That's the way it's always worked for me at Flying J's.

The Flying J near my house won't accept credit cards in the truck lanes if you don't enter a valid DOT number.

I have stopped going to FJ. The service at most is poor and no more discount.
Waiting in the pay line before and after filling gets old fast.

If you belong to FMCA the discount has been reinstated. Maybe other clubs also.

I got the additional discount in early June. 5 different FJ's from Cinci to San Antonio and back. Swiped my fueler card first....hit the button for pay at the pump and then swiped my VISA card next. After pumping went inside to get my reciept. No problems nowhere

I select pay inside, swipe the RV card, fill, pull up, pay inside with Cash.
In and out and gone. Works for me, your situation may vary.
