Julie Best of luck to you. I never had the kind of feet that could wear high heels and I am deeply grateful now. After having my knee replaced, I remember thinking that it would be a lot worse if it were my feet as I would think it would be harder to heal. Hoping only the best for you..... Nancy

Ouch! Be sure your family sets up the sofa with all your creature comforts for recovery....

You know...TV remote, extra blanket, books to read, snacks. Let them fetch whatever you need that first week. You are the "sickie" this time and everyone else can take care of you.

We're leaving soon for the hospital. Surgery is set for 11 a.m. The next few days should be interesting, to say the least! If you notice a few typos in my posts the next few days, it's just the painkillers!

Good luck dear on your foot surgery. Wish you the best possible care and recovery.
I too have had foot surgery. To remove a Nuroma, probably not spelled right.

Thanks Folks!

Surgery went well, although the screw is still there. She tried seven different instruments to get it out, and none worked. She said the company is going to send her one more that she'll try in the office. She said something about opening a stitch or two and trying again. I did know that it was possible that they might not get it out, I was just hoping . . .

Anyway, the rest of the surgery went well. Right now, my leg is numb from about halfway past my knee all the way to my toes. It should stay that way until Sunday when we remove the catheter. Here's a picture Abby took for me . . .

Doesn't that look lovely! Sure glad I can't feel anything!

At times like this it's good to be numb! That doesn't sound like any fun at all but I'm sure you are tough enough to get all healed up.

Take good care of that foot, no high kicks for a while.
