Not to be a wet blanket but the internet is chock full of fake animal charities nowadays.
Please, do yourself and animals a favor and check if the place you are donating money and/or food can provide proof of 501C-3 before you send one thin dime. If they are not registered they can take all of your donation and not spend one dime of it towards the animals if they choose so. Search their site and if they don't state they are a 501c3, find one that does where your money WILL go to a good cause.

rockhillmanor, not to be a wet blanket myself, but if you'd read the article you'd see that they're not asking for money...

Yes I did read the article. And spent quite some time going thru their sites and the links related to it. Furrytalefarms is a 501c-3 but have yet to find it listed on the others.
Checking for a 501c-3 is prudent when sending 'money' also, which is why I included it in a sentence, sorry that concerned you that it was included.

The groups I volunteer with have found that some of these 'donate food, click on an ad', etc. Internet sites are 'not' non-profit, thereby your have no assurance where it goes. They uncovered 4 'click on an ad and you will have donated food' save a pet sites that were keeping the kick back for the click on ads and no food was ever sent to any shelters.

Geeze, why is it that if someone offers a bit of advice to what to look out for to insure "100% of your efforts go completely to the animals", that some just stick their heads in the sand and assume that if its for the animals 'surely' there can not be anything false about it. That's exactly what some sites hope and plan on.

My advice was not directed at the subject names included in the OP but 'was' related to the subject matter by giving a heads up about these 'type' of dog sites not all being created equal. BUT if you'all want to send, click and/or waste a donation to an animal cause that does not get there, please feel free to continue to do so.
