Warm during the day, cool at night, sometimes breezy and dusty, lots of people, and RVs. The big show, first week in Feb. Think the biggest flea market and gem show in the universe. usually everybody has a good time.

Its just like a trip to Las Vegas for he first time.
Its something you just gotta see to believe.
You may love it or
You may hate it.
But
Ya just gotta see it to believe it.
We have been going there for the last 8 winters and wouldn't miss it, but I do have to say, we spend fewer and fewer days there each year. We like Yuma much better.

YUP! I haven't been there yet. My maiden voyage will be this coming year, but like you said, you at least have to go once. I think it's a right of passage for the RV'er.

Quartzsite is a something an RVer should experience. to find out more about the events Google Quartzsite (notice the spelling).

There are RV parks there for those who want full hookups but the vast majority of the RVs are in the desert surrounding the town with no hookups at all.

There are Short Term Visitor Areas where you can stay 14 days or you can go into the Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) if you pay $35/2 weeks or about $145 for the season. Going into the LTVA gives you a place to put trash into dumpsters, a freshwater station to fill your tank and free access to a dump station. If you don't want to move you can contact a vendor who will bring freshwater to your rig for about 25 cents/gallon or one who will drain waste tanks for about $25 or so.

It's more enjoyable to go in with a group but we have friends who go in by themselves and set up away from everyone else.

the rock and gem dealers an most all other vendors are open on Jan1. They are there the entire month of January. The big rv show and car show is at the end of January. The Quartzsite Improvement assoc. holds a 4 day show near the last week of january at their building. We are heading into our 5th yr. for going to Quartzsite. Hubby is a gold prospector and also belongs to the metal detecting club. We stay in an rv park at exit 31 off I-10 in Brenda.I am the wimpy type, the long term visitors area is not for me. The fee for the season is $180.00. There are many nice parks, music jam sessions, and of course vendors to spend days looking over their wares. We do shop over at Tyson Wells and desert gardens, thats mostly where all the rocks are..just love them rocks! Temps are good, it can be breezy(dusty) but well worth it to us. We have an ATV and ride for miles in the desert on BLM ground..Q-isn't for everyone, but we think its fun.! Dona

As for the dust:
It's WAY LESS on the North side of town.

We've been just East of the 95 about 9 miles out of town for the last 2 years now, and it's nothing compared to where most folks hang out in the LTA's to the South.

When does their season begin and end?
What months are not dusty there? If that is at all possible.
