Please don't compare Quartsite, AZ. to Sturgis, SD. leather, lace, chrome, and tattoo show. I don't remember if Quartsite even has a town ordinance sign, but the first thing on the Sturgis sign says "No Nudity". I wonder why?

I have been to Quartsite and seeing who goes there, if I was coming into town and seen a sign that said "No Nudity" I would turn around and high tail it out of there!!!!

We have been going to Quartzsite for a few years now.
We boondock close to town in the BLM at LaPosa North. About 1/2 mile south of town. We could go to a RV park in town but prefer the BLM as we have more room without having someone right next to us. Since we have solar and a generator why not. And for $180 a season why pay the RV park rent. (BlM has water and dump staion)
We have been blogging about what we have like and dislike about Quartzsite the last few years. See our sig for the link.

Our first year was last year in LaPosa south - we wanted to be closer to the dump, water and garbage area as newbees. We were parked on mostly rock and didn't notice that much dust. It did rain a bit and it was windy sometimes. But with the quads, it was a great area.
This year, we're planning to stay almost 2 months in the area. Helps that the snakes and such nasy critters are hybernating until it warms up!

The best place to stay is the BLM land south of Q on the left side of the road .
Go to the 2nd enterance and ask where the birds with out feathers are camping.
They are nice people and frendly . We have seen then there nice people .
