so we got home from our first 2 nights in the new roo and i have had my first accident already. because my wife is very pregnant and not feeling well today, my sister in law followed us to our house and did the unloading of the dirty clothes and bed stuff that wife wanted done , yes just what you're thinking.. she doesn't trust me to do it right. rofl. anyway, i had opened out the awning to clean it if it needed (probably more just to show off to neighbors) and she walked into the arms of the awning. ouch. my little boy learned a new word! rofl. thankfully she's not suing me over it.

we love this htt, it all went smooth and we cant wait until 2 weeks when we get to go further away and a little longer i did have to redo the front bunk twice to get the canvas mattress and poles all in safe since i was doing that by myself, everytime one side was perfect then i would scoot over to the other side and you know what happened , practice will make better if not perfect

me and dw and ds and soon to arrive DD!

If that is the worse accident that you ever have, you will be in pretty good shape. A friend of ours mess up the cab of his truck on his first trip. He didn't have the slider hitch in the correct position and his 5th wheel hit his cab.
Congratulations on your camper. Have fun

Take one of those bright big pool noodles and cut down one side and place those on the corner of the awning poles for high visablity and softness when you run into them....

male it's the electric awning it has scissor type arms more than poles , we hung a usa windsock on a clip end clotheshanger on it at camp but the others are short enough no big deal, if SIL hadn't been born tall and wearing real camp shoes instead of some fashion statement ones, it wouldn't have happened , rofl

In 2 years I have yet to walk into my awning arms, the first time I went with my brother I walked into his on his new Jayco. The new sissor style are killers...
Glad all went well for you...
