We are looking for a nice campground within 30 miles of Durham. Can anyony orvide any suggestions.

Rolling View @ Falls Lake State Park is only 12 miles from Durham. Look @ nc state park web site and see if it meets your needs. It has water and electric with a dump site. It does lock gate @ nite.

Jordan lake state park is south of durham. They also locks the gates around 9 this time of year.

I am part of a group attending the Duke/UVA football game. For this trip a private campground with more amenities will probable be better. Any ideas?

There isn't a "nice" campground within 30 miles of Durham with full hookups. You can check here Chapel Hill or here Chapel Hill website.
This place has full hookups and easy access to the Raleigh "Beltline" Bill Plemmons
The State Parks only have water and electric with a dumping station and the gate closes at 8 pm with no access afterwards. Not sure what kind of unit you have but you may want to consider the Chapel Hill place.
