Again I am posting here, as I don't know where else..

As I am trying to buy a Rv here in Mexico ( Quintana Roo) and finding it difficult, I am thinking of driving to the border and crossing to a nearby town to purchase a second hand one there: which would be the ideal place to head for??

And... will I have problems bringing it back into Mexico, being myself Mexican with a Mexican Truck????

Thank you!!

Head for the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. The towns of Mission, McAllen and Harlingen are close together and connected by Expressway 83. There are a number of dealers on the service road that parallels the highway. This areas has hundreds of rv parks so a check of the local newspapers will probably list for sale by owner units.

We bought a motorhome in El Paso on the way home in April. There are lots of good deals in the USA right now...

After dealing with us, Camping World RV Sales is now "Export Friendly".

It may not be there now, but in March I saw a 1999 38 ft. Holiday Rambler Endeavor Diesel pusher (Cummins) parked in the storage lot at El Mirador in San Carlos. It had Alaska plates on it and hadn't been moved for a while. The engine hour meter had 1800 hours on it. The sale sign said $63,000 but I'm sure it could be bought for less.

It may be worth a call to El Mirador to find out if it's still there.

I live in La Feria, Texas, which is just across the border from Mexico. If you could tell me what you're looking for in a "RV" I might be able to assist you. Are you looking for a truck, a MH, a van-camper, what?

I don't know if this is an option for you, but US citizens can take a trailer or motorhome into Mexico for 10 years so long as it is self-contained, meaning it has its own bathroom facilities and cooking. This might mean you would not have to license your vehicle in Mexico and could stay for quite some time.

Anyone out there know?

We had just come to an agreement to purchase a Lance camper with slide and all accesories, but the owner changed his mind at the last minute...
Your advice and knowlege are very comforting for me..
Drtee thank you very much for your offer, we have a Ram dodge 2500 diesel, but without dually.. We have just reinforced the springs.. The ideal buy for us would be 2 units: a pop up truck camper and a TT very short with slides, maybe a front bunk house and a back slide king size bed, but we are very flexible.
How would you sell us the rv if you bought it into Mexico?? we plan to travel to South america in a near future

Of course you know that if you buy in the US and plan on licensing in Mexico, you will have to pay import fees.

I live in QRoo and I have a motorhome that I might be willing to sell. It is a 1996 24 foot class C with 35k miles on it.
