When storing your rig, do you park on:
1 - heavy duty plastic
2 - plywood
3 - nothing
Was looking at the plastic route offered by "ranger design".

You want "something"...plywood is cheap! You don't want to park on anything that is petroleum based...it will break down the tires.

I bought mudflaps from a truck store. They're heavy, stay put, easy to see when backing and not a problem to drive on and off of.

I park on gravel in storage about 4 months total per year. I think asphalt would leach out only when fairly new, after it is fully cured there should be no problem.

I never tried parking on "nothing" but I do park on the sandy dirt in the back yard.

Most Tire Mfg. recommend you park on some barrier for your tires. I use pcs. of ext. grade plywood under all tires. Inexpensive and easy to use.

I have four pieces of rubber belting that I park on at my home. If I know I will be parked over two weeks in one place I take them along. I kinda just do it because it didn't cost may anything to do and I have read about it a couple of places. Not sure how much it helps, but I'm doing it. And if it helps extend the life of the tires on this 40'DP, then I guess it's ok..
