As of today we are living in the fifth wheel.
The kids have been here and taken all that they have wanted.
We have moved the things we need to the fifth wheel,
And all other things have been moved to the garage for a moving sale next weekend.
So ok we are still parked in the yard on our RV spot.
We haven't officially put the place up for sale (we need to paint and clean carpets) but have had two families come through and look with one calling to see if they could come back) luckily the housing market in our area is still seeing more buyer's than houses available
So here is my question is today the day we can say we are fulltimers?
We have lived in the fiver for 3 full days now and its going pretty well,
. I am looking for a canvas shoe holder that hangs over the door so that I may modify it and hang it over the shower sides to give us a little more storage in the bath area. The house is empty and Half painted. The dogs have settled down and Rocky actually prefers the fiver over the big house. I made our first home cooked meal today in the fiver, I made enchiladas and since I'm still having a hard time adjusting to cooking for just 2 people I made a pan and a half. luckily I still have the house fridge for storage.
The dish network guy comes tomorrow to bring and set up the dish for the fiver. So things are moving forward.

It must be Awesome to transition that way .. we had to get an apartment before we could sort things out .. put the house up for sale too soon and it sold too quickly.
Congratulations!

Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of full-timing. We've been living on our property in our 5vr for over a year now waiting for SIL to retire from Coast Guard and for them to move in. The house has basically been a laundry facility for us, the 5vr is our home. Just waiting on the appropriate time to leave although as long as they remain on the farm we'll have the site we're on available to us. Yes you can full-time without leaving. Take full advantage of the opportunity you have to learn as much about your rig and what you really need for full-timing.

Thanks everybody!
Last night went pretty well, although the dogs are wondering why the trailer is all packed and we aren't going down the road.
I have all the basics in, food, dishes (I did replace the camp dishes for the good stuff out of the house), TV, laptop, some cloths (had to go back to the house for pj's), linens. Now we are adding the things we wanted to take, decorating the fiver so that it suits our taste,
I'm sure we will have to rearrange, sort, and move things to where they will be the most handy, as we have only traveled and camped in the trailer, so what worked for then may not work now.
We are so happy to be this much closer to being on the road.

Welcome to the FREEDOM club We did it somewhat similar to you - moved into the RV first, then put the house up for sale. Gave us time to be sure we had gotten everything we wanted/needed from the house. It's a great way to do it.

Call your self foot loose and fancy free, especially once the house sells. Good luck - did the same thing four years ago and we haven't had a single regret.
