Having never had full hookups I have a couple questions about them having to do with lenghts. I have the standard 10' slinky stuffed in the bumper, a 25' fw hose, and just a 15' grey hose that I use for rinsing the slinky when none is provided, are these too short? if so how long do I need them. I've never been to the CG I'm going to for next week so have no idea on hookup placement.

Thanks

Those lengths are what I carry except sewer (20'). So far, they've been sufficient in FHU sites I've been in. I do carry an additional 25' FW hose and 30amp extension cord for those long runs in gov'ment parks.

The two 25 ft length of fw and regular hose should be ok, I carry a 15ft sewer hose plus a 10 ft. attachment that I have never needed, but have just in case. I have needed the 15 ft a few times. Just like everything else in life, you will find out you need it and there is always a Wal-Mart near by.

I've never needed more than the 10' of sewer hose that came with our Sewer Solution.

We also carry a 20 amp to 30 amp adapter and a 50 amp to 30 amp dogbone for those rare occasions when we get a site that doesn't have a 30 amp receptacle.

I agree with Chuck, I have only needed what the "starter kit" had in it. It would not be an unreasonable question ask about the hose lenghts when making reservations. Years ago, I had the security guard unlock the camp store at midnight to get me 25 feet of freshwater hose. It would have been a lot cheaper to have purchased it at WalMart!

go get the proper elbows and connectors to attach the sewer hose to the ground PVC pipe. Nobody enjoys smelling sewer smells coming up and around a hose stuffed into the hole. Also, depending on where you are in the long line of sewer line, stuffing a sewer hose down the hole can actually stop the flow of "stuff" coming from other campers uphill from you. Please get the proper adapters.

Thanks folks.
I'll stop in the local camper supply dealer today and look for a replacement/longer slinky, mines 2 years old and probably should be replaced anyway. Does a 15'er fit in the bumper?
Don't know if I can justify the Sewer Solution as most places I go do not have a hose at the dump station that has a hose connector on it, seems they are all just cut off ends, must get run over all the time. Maybe the water thief would work. Having just an 20' trailer it'd be yet another thing to find a place for, don't imagine it'd fit in the bumper.
Joegood, never having used a sewer hookup I don't know what proper adapters would be, I'll ask at the dealer and see if they differ with what I have or will get with a new slinky.
Thanks again.

15 ft will fit easily into your bumper, the sewer hose folds/bends up nicely. Also, I should of have recommened a donut hole for the sewer line, just a piece of rubber that "forms or fits" into the sewer connection of the camp ground in case they only have a piece of pipe sticking out of the ground with no screw connection.

Bring a notebook on your trips, you will always forget something. We forgot bath towels our 1st trip. lol
