Regardless of the bickering, many newer owners are being left out to dry by this situation.
I honestly wish I had never bought my WW unit last December.

WW owners, don't be depressed about roof repairs. Don't pay RV dealers the $6,000 to $10,000 they want either. Do consider doing it yourself at a cost of around $1,000 and 20 or so hours labor (not the 40 hours dealers claim).
Ours is looking good/great. Waiting on new membrane to arrive.
Suggest if you can see the dark line across the top of you unit then you had no tape over wood joints and vibration will cause it to tear on the edges between the gutter and top edge of roof, then preesed wood swells and the tear is not on the edge anymore and rain in gutter is funneled into the opening.
Look at Dicor site for instructions. Also, great sites just rubber roof in search engine. This is a simple repair to add new membrane and run Eternabond tape or other specialty tape on edges and seams and stainless steel screws in your tracks. Or if you are good you can use strip of rubber roof on edge like starter course for shingles in concept. Lots of fresh lap seal and you are better than new (even better if you have some delaminating already and can add 8 foot 2x4 rafters instead of ripped 2x4's). Watch the curve in front, may need to precision notch ends or rip to fit there. We had to replace 3 rafters and 2 feet of plywood and the insulation there. Going to seal front cap underneath probably with sheet aluminum.
We do have the best looking units on the road.
I was very P.O.'d about being stiffed on the warranty, but folks it's going to happen more and more in this economy and touch almost everyone. We are lucky to be able to own trailers and escape some of the reality for pure relaxation.
Before any one jumps me, know I researched before purchasing a WW. Wanted the "best warranty in the industry," best product, new unit and know it was always maintained properly. That's not what I got, but I still like my unit even with her flaws.
I should have been asked if I wanted to invest in a "prototype" with no warranty and I might have considered doing so. Outside that I'm OK.Going to have to remove everything on roof and put back, but if we can do it so can you.
Have to run, 6 hour drive to take care of rental property.
Peace and goodwill.

What about the buzz the Giant RV was goning to buy what was left of Warrior? It would seem that the trade name has value... It's hard to belive that that 'Weekend Warrior' is going to completly dissapear forever....

Sandollar that was a good common sense post with good technical details. I found on our MH roof that had developed leaks along the roof edge due to damage from the RV cover after many years. With Liquid Rubber one can put down a new layer of EPDM rubber roof by painting it on for a full chemical bond. We used Liquid Rubber vs the same product called Liquid Roof because Liquid Rubber is more white but chemically both are otherwise identical.
I did use EternaBond Web Seal tape first where the holes where. The decking had delaminated some but I did not replace any decking so to get back dry cost me very little but my problems stemmed from the use of an RV cover and not from structural problems.

roper1 wrote: Point taken. But the fact is Warrior is still open for business, they have not gone belly up and they have not turned me away from doing any warranty work yet, till they do either, I have no other option than to standby my product and support the company(what else can I do)that I found to fill my need at the time of purchase. I don't think the trouble that has plagued the tag side of Warrior affected the 5er products.
Fact is i'm still very pleased with my 5er as is most other warrior owners on the site be it tag or 5er.

roper1, I'm not trying to start a blazing battle here with anyone, but I am going to voice my opinions about WW just like the guys that are heaping on all this praise for them and crying the blues about there possible crash and burn. I owned one, and I'm fully aware of the goods and bads they have. Mine was a tag, and it had a lot of problems that I fixed myself. First I didn't want it setting on a lot in Riverside somewhere for weeks on end collecting dust while the other hundreds of trailers waited there turn in line to get fixed, and the next thing I didn't want happening was I didn't want it coming back worse then it went in, like the many posts I read about. And I wouldn't take it to Giant RV if the world depended on it.
I was so close from getting one of their large 5th wheels after I sold our FS2300. I can't express how glad I am that my wife talked me out of it. I'm telling you it was a knock down drag out family fight over it at the time. Like always......Happy Wife Happy Life. She won, and I'm Damm glad she did. There's something to be said about hanging true to your flag or riding for your brand so to speak. But what I don't understand is why when these trailers have so many defects.
767CAPT, I think it sucks too that so many people lost jobs at WW during this. But if anybody thinks that the head guys at WW loose sleep at night thinking about all the little people out there that's got a trailer setting needing repair........well somebody needs to put down the pipe, cause the fact is this guy is in it for the money, and he pumped those trailers out to line his pockets just like every other RV manufacture. The guys here local are getting the best of this deal because they are local, but what about the hundreds that are spread out accross the country.
Weekend Warrior got over $25,000K of my money, they won't be getting a second chance at seeing my wallet.

From what I heard, Giant RV was NOT buying WW, just trying to help out financially.
In most cases, RV dealers don't pay for the vehicals until there sold, that means WW has millions of $$ in RV's and don't get paid in full for them until someone buys the unit from Giant or there local dealer. Sort of like a consignment??
This is what I heard, so just like everbody else, more speculation
