LOL!!
What's so hilarious about hundreds of decent folks losing their jobs, and investors losing their investments? You really think that's a hoot, huh?
There will be some or many that get burned, which in itself is a sad situation. However, as far as those on the assembly line, they needed to go anyway. Their workmanship on a lot of the rigs were below par....kick the bums to da curb.

From what I heard, Giant RV was NOT buying WW, just trying to help out financially.
In most cases, RV dealers don't pay for the vehicals until there sold, that means WW has millions of $$ in RV's and don't get paid in full for them until someone buys the unit from Giant or there local dealer. Sort of like a consignment??
This is what I heard, so just like everbody else, more speculation
The Manufacturers get their $$$$ when the coach ships from them. The bank finances them for the dealership until the coach sells , for which the dealership pays interest or flooring costs. Most dealers inventory is bank owned, until sold.
Now who is in more trouble? The RV industry or the Banks?

Don't worry, our politicians will eventually bail them out with our tax dollars......

Well that clears up a few things, the RV dealers keep paying interest when they can't sell the units, but the Banks still could be out a bunch of $$$$

JuzplaneKrazy.. Great point about the guy in charge getting the bucks. I always wondered why the "Superlite" didn't boast the "WW" brand name except in very small letters on the tail. Cash cow with too many flaws?

How can dealers continue to sell units when they know that the factory warranty has gone, bye-bye?
Don't they have to disclose little known facts like that?

I had the same question. Today with way factory warrantees often disappear before the title can even show up in your mail box it does make buying used more attractive. At least your buy in price reflects no warrantee. In autos my rule is to buy in so you can replace a transmission and still not be over high retail. I have not had a warrantee since 1987 on anything I have titled and it has worked out just fine but again I do not buy things I expect to break.
