Mosquitoes do not like lavender, a little lavender oil goes a long way, and you'll smell good to.

There is some truth to your subject line statement

Skeeters do seem very much to prefer some folks more than others

I believe this has been studied (Scientific study) and proven but they key phrase in this sentence is the first two words.

I've heard that putting Listerine in a spray bottle and spraying a mist of it around will keep them away.
