We are having a wet & cool Monsoon season here in Southern Arizona. This has had an effect on the Nogales crossings. The flood channel under the street, one street to the West of the downtown crossing, has collapsed. The whole street is gone. This also caused a sinkhole just West of the downtown crossing and closed the Westerly foot crossing. Downtown is a little of a mess. They will get it cleaned up before Snowbird season. Funny, the USA provided funding as well as the Mexican Gov to upgrade the flood channel, but nothing has happened. I wonder where the funds are?

The Mariposa Crossing traveling South has been reduced to ONE lane. Slow Down! They now have scanning equipment and a tope going into Mexico. Why I don't know? Hopefully by winter they will realize they are just making work. NOT, don't count on it. The downtown problems has increased the traffic headed North. Lets hope that will be corrected by winter.
