We are looking for an interesting volunteer spot for the Dec-March (or any of these months) in southeast, Texas or the southwest general areas (have 40' motorhome) in nice county, state or national park. Can offer good office/computer skills, interpretive services, landscaping or other outdoor work of general nature. If you know of any place needing camphosts or volunteers, please respond! Thanks in advance. (We know it is late to be looking for this season, but we just got free and would love to do something.)

Try this camp ground. It is just North of Houston on Lake Conroe.
(Houston's best kept secret)
You may be able to volunteer at the Forest Ranger Station.

Let me suggest that you start with the Texas State Parks Dept. Some others are the Nature Conservancy, or the US Fish & Wildlife Service for one of the national wildlife refuges.

The website say "CAGLE RECREATION AREA (TX), TX Open through Tue Dec 30 2008" if it closes Dec 30th, what good does it do for work Dec-March in Southwest?
