Try terro ant bait. Worked for a situation in a rental home with a bad infestation. They will eat the stuff and die. It is not messy; easy to use.

Try Terro Liquid Ant Bait. Works for us everytime with ant problems inside. They will have a party in the little bait tray and run back and forth until the colony is dead. I bought a box of six at Lowes for $5.99 in the garden section a couple of days ago..ants are gone already.

The nice thing about Terro is that you don't have to locate the nest, etc. Just put the little traps in their path and they find it, take it back to the nest and wipe out the colony. We discovered that Terro now makes several types, some for sweet eating ants and some for all types. You won't regret trying it. Simple to use, no muss, no fuss and the ants are gone in 2-3 days forever.

I'll jump in and give my vote to Terro as well. Foggers would never work for me. Visible ants would die, then a couple days later, they're back. As Dale states, the ants bring the Terro back to the colony. I keep a few in the TT and when ants are visible, open one up when I return home, tossing it out when we go back on the road.

The bait is probably best but if it fails call a termite company and have it fumigated under a tent. Everything dies.

Terro is great! We picked up thousands of sugar ants at a campground. I came to rv.net looking for a fix and read about Terro. After putting Terro out most of the ants were gone the next day. By the day after that they were all gone. I used the liquid with cardboard tabs. I put too much on and it got messy. The day I put it out we started collecting bottle caps from Cokes and wsater and the next day I put liquid into the bottle caps. Even the twist offs from beer bottles would work good. From now on I will keep a few bottle caps to fill with Terro in case we pick up more ants at another campground.

I must have smarter ants... they just walked around the terro for days I put it more places and again they just walked around it...

I followed the parade of them through the cupboards until they just disappeared in a crack in a storage area...

I sprayed the area they disappeared into and a few days later they were back, followed and sprayed again and haven’t see any more...

I used the bombs the smoke before and it worked but didn't have any this time...

I've lost count, but make mine a seventh(?) vote for terro. Got them out of my house and camper. Takes 2-3 days though.

House hold bleach straight works good on all ants usually kills them on contact, spray the nest with some and try.

Thanks to all, many great suggestions, I believe I will go with the Terro.

I too miss the chemicals that have been outlawed. Diazanon, DDT, good ole poisons, at least they killed what you wanted dead.

I did not think the bombs were penetrating to the ants hidey-hole. I have been told a possible reason I am seeing more is I stopped the leak(s), and they are thirsty, they are coming out seeking water/moisture.

I will keep ya'll posted on Terro's highly anticipated result.

Have tried Terro yesterday for the sweet eating ants both inside and outside of my 5ver. They took to it like a baby to a nipple. Only problem is that after it rained last night, they are back. As a pet owner I have to be cautious of what I use and where I place it. Just spayed dialuted 70/30 water/Clorox outside, so I will have to wait until the morning to see how, if it works. My 5ver is on a concrete pad with expantion joints. The ants move from one joint to the next. Might possibly have to soak the heck out of the joints to see if that works. Has anyone tried Listerine? Have been told that that also works.
