There is no FJ in Reno. They tried to put one in but got shot down from the locals. "Don't want no smelly truck stop in my backyard!".
If I get a FJ CC can I use it at Loves and get the cash price??

The land has the correct zoning so that is a big plus, what they needed rezoned was the parking area and that was the sticking point. No you won't get the cash price with other truck stops, BUT you will get a refund in Flying J bucks of so much per dollar on all purchases, that will usually bring it down to the cash price.

I use Flying J whenever possible, and really like those who have an RV island....what's great about the RV island is that you can dump your tanks, fill up with fuel, add fresh water, and have your LPG tank filled at the same time. Takes a little longer to fuel up 180 gallons of diesel with the slower fuel pumps, but I can be dumping the holding tanks while that is going on.

Saw the CAR lanes and the TRUCK lanes, but must have missed the RV lanes. Filled up in the TRUCK lanes and departed. So from the conversation the RV lanes must be there somewhere between the CAR and TRUCK lanes. That's probably where they hide the dump station also? I'll have my Shotgun rider pay closer attention next time! To answer your question, yes, the dump station is normally near or, with newer stations, incorporated into the RV lanes. Not all FJ's have RV lanes. This would generally be true of older locations. The RV lanes have slower pumps, but do have the added features at the newer locations.

So where do you get a 'FlyingJ MasterCard'. I stopped at the FlyingJ at exit 320 on I75 in Georgia yesterday. The only credit card application that I could find was for a Conoco Gas Card.
There wasn't a FlyingJ MasterCard application to be found anywhere..

We stopped at every available Flying J from Quincy, Fl. to Jacksonville and then north to Savannah on to Delaware. Some gave me the 1 cent discount, others didn't. I was not able to get diesel in the RV lane at any of them until the wife went in and they swiped the card. If I wanted a receipt, I had to go back inside.
Some has filthy restrooms, one had no ice at the drink machine. Another had no Coke. They look like they are no longer the clean well run stores they used to be. Perhaps it's the local management. They are linking in stores sales with the diesel discount.
I did run into at least two non-Flying J diesel stops that are charging an additional 9 cents/gallon for using a credit card.
I don't like to have to carry enough cash for cash purchases when making 3000 miles trips but 9 cents can really add up.

There wasn't a FlyingJ MasterCard application to be found anywhere.. For those that care to pursue a Flying J CC, here is the link to Transportation Alliance Bank, the financial arm of Flying J. It also is a full service bank for those full-timers that may want to use their services. we have found it very convenient and easy to work with, over the internet or by phone
