Last trip out the freezer gave us 'soft' ice cream (ice cubes seemed ok) Refridgerator compartment was as cold as ever. Freezer had a little frost center rear wall. When came home turned off to let defrost -- So today went out to give the freezer $1 test (used $5 but about the same) Latch side wanted to keep my money but top-bottom-& hinge side very easy. Doesn't seem any way to adjust. So, While out there thought I'd turn it on(auto) to get cold for week-end. BUT IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. Is there some kind of reset button??????????? It has always come on before. If set it to gas seems to do its thing but not on shore power. Everything else is working. HELP!! ThankYou

Well a service manual may help. You can down load one here: http://bryantrv.com/docs.html
You'll need the manufacturer and model number.

Somthing I found on mine when it didn't want to stay on electric is the cord from the outlet to the refer has a bad spot. When I move the cord a certain way the frig will run on electric and auto fine. But if it moves then it goes to gas. I'm going to call the dealer and get another cord. You might try moving the cord around a little.

Sounds like the electric heating element went bad.

MY Norcold hasn't worked on electric for 2 1/2 years. The plug is "hot" so that's not the issue. Hopefully I can learn something on this thread.
I love my Norcold, and it pumps out some really good low numbers on propane. -8' below zero, when I had my cooling unit repaired up in Arkansas a year ago at World Class Refrigeration in Plummerville, AR.
