I go to the truck pumps all the time. I understand the issue regarding their new policy of cash price ONLY for an FJ credit card.
Question - is there ANY way to pull up to the pump, insert your FJ fuel card, have a "truck" number, insert your payment (FJ CC), pump and go in to sign?
Currently I always go into the cashier first to gain access to the pump. Slows the process and requires a double entry.

Very easy, assign a number to your "truck" and use zero for the hub reading. We do this all the time and never have a problem. Also, with the Flying J CC, you no longer need your RV Value card, as it is built into the CC account.

I believe that you still get the cash price at the RV pump and the 1 penny discount...but no to both at faster truck pumps per the FJ rep at the FMCA.

The manager for FJ's Marketing called ME last night ( suprized me for sure) and we talked about this fiasco at the truck pumps. I said that most semi drivers pay with a credit card..and he corrected me!!!
The over the road drivers use a ( and for the life of me I cant remember the term he used) a card but its NOT a credit card...its a card that identifys their COMPANY. Hence the fuel is "charged" to their company and once a month that company gets a bill for fuel
( saves on time and paperwork for all involved)
An RV driver doesnt need to "lie" to the pumps with a bogus milage and truck number etc. When it asks for truck number..etc..etc..all you have to do is hit "next"...thusly you swipe your card...hit next..and select "pay at the pump" and hit next and then swipe yoru credit card ( for now..) and the pump turns on.
Ive never had to tell it a truck number or a company name.
If the card reader is on the blink..use the telephone and just tell them its a "private coach" and they will turn the pump on for you...BUT you have to go INSIDE to pay...which I always do anyway to get my reciept.

I got all the discounts in June when I went to San Antonio, at the truck pumps ( the only ones I will use)

To pump 100+ gallons at the RV pumps would take nearly 20 minutes, at the truck pumps, it's about 5. Seems like it's worth the 1 penny a gallon difference.

A qualified NO, in that you do get both at the truck pumps, IF you use a Flying J CC that is registered as a RV Value card, which ours is. This is direct from the hook in a letter to their current CC customers.

I asked once because the nozzle kept kicking off on me and I had to set it for the slowest flow....how many gallons a minute the truck pumps ran. The guy told me they flow at 60 gallons a minute WIDE OPEN

I keep it about half rate so I can clean the windshield. At full rate, if I'm not watching, a rooster tail of diesel will shoot out of the pump before it will click off. At half rate, it stops cleanly. Probably the design of the fill neck in our coach.
