When we got our first rider, the boys both wanted to mow. It wasn't long and neither wanted to mow. When it came to just She and I left at home, we had to discuss just who had mowed last

I don't understand... with your vast knowledge of all things mechanical I would think that you are fully qualified to purchase a lawn mower. I think it's a conspiracy!!

Exactly...it's not that hard to pick out a lawn mover...just get one that's not the cheapest and not the most expensive and that has the prettiest color paint...

Start? Where's the fun in using a motorized lawnmower? Get an old push mower and a local teenager, give 'em 20 bucks and tell 'em to git 'er dun!

Yep color is important... I guess you would want a purple one, right?
LOL

Oh and I mow our 1.5 acres on my pretty orange lawn tractor and the racing red push mower. DH does the weed eater thing so I am not even sure what color it is.

Would 20 be enough to cover the gas these days?

You want to qualify as a lawn mower buyer?
Tell me, in 10 seconds or less, which direction the lawn mower blade rotates.

For those who fail, you must use scissors.

Ten seconds are up. Sorry

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Several years back when I lived in Florida I had a situation similar to yours. For several years my old Sears mower was hard to start, but I was too stubborn to give in. I kept fiddling with it and finally get it started. One year at the beginning of the season I just could not get it to start, so off I went to the local dealer. I ended up buying one of the very expensive Hondas. I have bought automobiles cheaper. I took it home and cut my grass and on the way to put it up, I passed the old lawn mower. I gave it a dirty look and a kick, and just for kicks, I pulled on the starter cord. Guess what, yes, it started on the first pull. Now what to do with 2 running lawn mowers??. I put it out by the curb hoping someone would steal it. Two days later I put up a free sign and it was gone by morning..

I love lawns. I love lawn mowers. I've loved watching lawns being mowed from California, Texas, Colorado and now here in the mountains of South Dakota.

What I don't miss, is MY lawn mower and lawn.

Good luck Summer, I hope you get the lawn mower of your dreams.
