It is hard to kiss the lips at night, that has chewed your butt all day long!
Morro Dunes gets good reviews from some friends who stay there frequently. It's close to the beach, embarcadero and 'rock'. The sewer plant is close but our friends never complain & the park stays full. We always stay in Pismo at Pismo Coast Village or Pismo Sands. Morro Dunes has no grass whereas the others do. They are @ 25 miles south of Morro Bay in Pismo Beach, CA. You could try Morro Bay State Park and Morro Strand State Park as well. All Central Coast parks are really busy so you'll need to reserve early. Good Luck!
Morro Dunes is a nice park, a little crowded, but nice. The State Park was renovated about two years ago. I haven't stayed there, but visited friends staying there and it was nice. Morro Strand is on the beach, but has 20 or 24 foot maximum. Down the hiway to Pismo and you have some nice state and private campgrounds. Pismo Coast Village is my favorite.
Morro Bay State Park is nice . . . . often filled, though. They have a few with hook ups but they go quickly. Probably need a reservation. (ReserveAmerica)
