Yes in the last 2 years and 4 months we have been on the road and slept in the Sprinter LTV 288 nights.
Wow Gary! I thought we used ours quite a bit but you just motivated me to check our nights in LTV. I counted 203 nights since spring of 2005.

Good luck on your Alaska trip, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

As to the question above about how long to allocate for an Alaska trip, we did it in 6 weeks from NC and covered all the NPs in the Rockies on our return trip as well. But if you look at our blog in the June, 2006 time frame you will see that we were "movin' on", not much time to linger any place.

For all of the extended trips, just how many miles, or hours of driving, do you do per day? We have only used ours in Oregon and Washington so far. After about 4 hours on the road it seems like it is time for a break and/or time to pull into a CG.

80 nights so far in a year and half. We are hoping to add substantially to that in the next few months.

We generally like to limit to less than 250 miles in a day. We like to have time to stop to explore if we see something interesting. In our longest trip to date (42 nights) we drove between 10,000 and 11,000 miles. We spent more than one night in some places and some of the driving was just looking around a general area. Some days were more miles than we like to do in a day.

I'll have to check mine when we get back from Labrador. I know we did 171 nights to Alaska & back, ~90 around the Great Lakes, 45 to the Rose Parade, we have been out ~45 this trip, plus a few short ones ~30 nights or less. 37k miles in the GS and now 26k+ in the LTV. Sitting in Sydney Nova Scotia now waiting on the ferry NORTH...

Thanks...I guess 250 miles is OK. I know I like to get into CG's before dark, and don't need no stinkin alarm in the morning when I am on Vacation!

What Next checking in, well we are in West Wendover NV I think, tomorrow I want to see Bonneville Salt Flats and Salt Lake City. Then it is pedal to the metal headed for home. To answer some questions 60,000 on Sprinter 200 miles or less is a nice day. Yes my wife is an angel for doing this we get along great or it wouldn't be possible. Got a little Gizmo dog along too he's great. As for what's next, I think the LTV will be around for quite awhile. Although I think a 5th wheel trailer or park model in Texas is in the future. We will spend much more time in Alaska next time. 3 weeks in Alaska and another 5 weeks taking the long way there and longer way back this time. Guess now that LTV Rally is back on we will be going back to Canada one more time this year.
