All laughing permitted. What have we done wrong? We have a Gulfstream BT 2007. After what we thought was closing the low water drains. Husband filled up the water tank and took off for a pottery seminar. When he tried to turn on the water pump the only water he saw was the gush of water coming out the city water connection (which is right next to the water fill site on this model.) After he returned home I went out to see if I could figure out what might be happening, I noticed that besides that water coming out the city water connection, there was some water creeping across the floor from beneath the sink area. (Possibly just what is finding it way inside from the gushing outside flow When we actually connected the city water line, it did clear the air out of the lines to the sinks and toilet but I also detected a whine coming from somewhere? So far I can not see a panel that comes off anywhere that would expose the water pump, to get a good look at that.

So what have we turned wrong and forgotten to reset. What may have happened to the water pump over the winter? How big a headache have we created, any ideas? Thanks for any suggestion...

Is this the first time you have put water in MH this year?
You may have a broken water line. If you have a bedroom slide the pump is probably under one of the rear cabinets. Ours is accessed by removing one of the cabinet drawers.

Yes, it is the first timethis year that water had been put in and the pump run. The unit has no slide. I guess there could be two issues going on. I couldn't figure why a leaking line would cause the water to back up and out the city water inlet....as if there was a major blockage or some knob turned the wrong way. Only one draw under the closet space. Nothing that looks like a pump. Looks like the electrical box -fuse panel is on the front of that area. Thanks though,

If pump and lines were not properly winterized the check valve and other components maybe broken. Was pink antifreeze run threw complete system including pump before winter storage?

We thought that we had drained and blown out all the lines and run pink stuff through till it can out of all the faucets.... Like I said - we may have done something incorrectly or forgotten to turn something back on????? I liked this unit over the Greyhawk I had because the water was so much easier to fill and run. No hidden switches that made you stand on your head under the sink to switch on/off to use the city water intake or instead fill the tank. Looks like I may have to spend $$$ to find the answer to this one. Thanks again for your thoughts

I am not sure where your leak is coming from. But in your description of winterizing you do not mention running Pink Antifreeze threw the water pump. You need to find where the pump is located. You may want to call GS and talk to a tech person that can tell you it's location.
Try this number 800-482-6456.

We finally found the water pump. It appears to be functioning well, no leaks. Husband wonders if the flow back value (check valve?) may have been broken when he used the air compressor to blow out the lines. He appears to have solved the issue by using a cap on the city water intake to create the air pressure for the pump. May not be kosher, but it worked and without the water overflowing out the city water intake and down the side (inside and outside) of the unit there is not water seeping inside.....Yeah!!! Thanks

Could be. I have blown out my lines on boat or RV for many years never have had a pump failure. Not running pink stuff through pump can cause failure. There is always some water left in line/pump when blowing it out unless pink stuff is run through pump to protect it.

When you put in pink stuff you had to switch valve to do, so did you return the valve back to normal side for pump to work?

Your husband found the problem and corrected it with a band-aid approach. Most city water connections have a check valve right at the hose connection. If you remove the rubber washer you can usually remove the check valve. Bet you have something lodged under the seating surface in the check valve. Doubt you hurt the check valve with compressed air.
