We have been here since 7-18. A little concerned by the Tropical Depression, but it proved not to be too bad. A little surprised with the amount of empty sites but I'm sure that the wheather report kept some people away. There are a few companies and the campground that b ring rigs in put them on sites for people so maybe they canceled for the weekend. All in all it has been good. It is going to be a hot one today so beach time soon.

What is a b ring rig? I am not sure I understand what your talking about. We have been at the beach with the wind blowing at a constant 25-30 MPH. It is not fun, but it is manageable. You do have a hard time keeping a grille lit though. It is going to be hot all week here in the Carolinas. It's not supposed to cool down until Thursday.

we are going to lakewood tomorrow until next Sunday. Can't wait. Was concerned about the TS, but looks like Myrtle got spared. Luckily it isn't one that sat there for days to ruin my vacation. Hope you have a great rest of your trip as well!!! I just love the beach.

I think he meant companies that bring rigs (campers) to set them up.. where you can rent a TT, etc.

Hey, Happy Campers3, glad to hear your at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. That was always our favorite place on the East Coast. I was thinking about you folks the other day when I saw an old PM from you. Don't rush to get back to C-burg! Have fun, be safe, and have a great day!

Would you give us a update on Lakewood. My family went every summer in the late 60's, guess that shows my age. I allways like Lakewood, but have not been in a campground in over 35 years. Hope to have my Fuzion buy the fist of Aug.

With my Toy Hauler having the open rear door, I would like to know about the sites around the lake. Are all of them backin? Also could you find out what the policy on taged motorcycles and I think they dont allow golf carts.

Hey DunDoneit, this will be my 3rd year at Lakewood. What do you want to know? I like going there. I have never had the good fortune of getting a site anywhere but here to test the others out. Lots of people like MB Travel Park because they do not have golf carts, and the other big 3 do. Initially I may have felt the same way until we rented one last year and had a blast.

MBTP is our favorite in Myrtle Beach. We plan to be there in October after the crowds, and hopefully the hurricanes, will have gone.
