My electric load is up to where a second battery is becoming a very likely next project. J.C. Whitney has all the stuff you need in a kit. The bigger question, to me, is WHERE did you put your second battery and why. Okay, that's two questions. But do-it-yourselfers want to know.

I didn't put it there, the PO did, but my second battery is under the floor, just behind where the side doors are. I'm about to drop his mount down and modify it to hold at least one more battery (though I think I'll make it big enough now to hold a third and just not add it yet), and to make it easier to lower down to service the batteries.
The map shows the states my wife and I have driven (or camped) in together.
Thanks, guys, for the responses. Both give me ideas. However under the body pan would be too low for clearance just getting home where I live in the Ozarks woods. I'd leave a battery in the creek bed for sure.
The back is likely what is available to me. I just hate to run leads that far for 12 volts due to the losses. May just be no other choice, I guess.
