We are considering purchasing a 2007 Jayco Jay Feather 29A. Our TV is a 2006 GMC Sierra Z71. What are the pros and cons of the smooth exterior? Do any of you have anything good or bad to tell about Jayco brand in general or the hard body end slide out(holds a queen bed)? We really like the floor plan with four bunks and the U shaped dinette. We have 4 children ages 3-14. If anyone knows of a similar floor plan in a better brand...please let me know. Thanks for any and all info...

I don't know about your paticular model, but we have a 2007 JayFeather Ultra Lite. We love our floor plan and feel the TT is built well for a lite weight. I just don't have any use for our local dealer.
We have a 2007 29N
Good luck, Steve

I will come back again, and say that I have seen a lot of the rear slide TT's being used by families with kids. I would check the seal area really close on the slide, making sure it seals properly on inside and outside, closed, and open positions. I don't know about comparing with other brands, but the Jaycos are well known, and if price is right, it's your call.
Good luck, Steve

We have a 2007 Jayfeather 29D and love it. I do wish I had more kitchen prep area, and I do wish we had a bunkhouse for our 10 year old DD, but we have really enjoyed our 29D.
Good luck, and enjoy whatever you get,

We love our Jayco 23B! Have had a couple of quality issues, but Jayco has gone way above and beyond to remedy these, including authorizing an expensive repair for the roof that is already out of warranty. I am now a Jayco loyalist for life
Good luck with yours!

We owned a Jayco & it was a nightmare experience. If you manage to get a unit that is intact, it will probably be great. If you get a lemon that delaminates & leaks, the Jayco company is a bear to deal with. It took our state atty. general's office to help us unload the TT. Please look at other models. Good luck!

Please tell me what "delaminates" means...is that something that is due to the smooth exterior siding?
