We pay $200/mo for covered with electric, dump station, washing station. We also have restricted access and 24 hr video security.

We can also get uncovered for about $100 per month.

It never made sense to me that someone would pay as much as we do for our RV's just to have them sit out in the elements.

BTW - I also park the car and truck in the garage.

In southern Ca. it is @ $300 per month... $175 does not sound bad.

I haven't used storage for a while, but I used to store my boat and camper in a limestone mine for about $240 for both for the entire winter season... I never asked what they charged to leave it there during the summer months...

Whoa! Do I ever feel lucky now! I have covered storage w/elec., electronic survalence, gated security (keypad)entrance for the entire storage facility, plus my padlock on my fence-in covered space for $54.25 (includes tax). The entire storage facility is enclosed by a 6 ft fence, plus RV covered spaces are individually enclosed by another 6 ft fence. Only those with the covered RV spaces are able to enter between 9 PM and 8 AM.

Around here, outside storage (secured lot) runs around $650/year for a 40' long space. I haven't priced any indoor or covered storage facilities, because $650/yr is steep enough for me.

The latest thing I've seen, though, are these "garage condo" places. Have you guys heard of these? They sell (not rent, sell) individual garages. They have heat, air conditioning, 16' overhead doors, electricity (separately metered), and hot and cold running water. A base unit that is something like 20 feet wide and 30 feet deep, unfinished except for a half bath at the back, sells for something like $30,000. They're usually customized, though, and the sky is the limit.

Of course, they come with a mortgage AND condo association fees (pay for exterior building maintenance, landscaping, management, security, etc.).

I guess if I had one of those million dollar motorcoaches to store, or a bunch of pricey exotic cars, I might think about it. Then again, if I had enough money for those kinds of toys, I'd also have enough money to buy 40 acres and put a pole barn on it for my toys....

Do you have any friends or family that can store it on their property? Our friends store their TT on our property since they are not allowed in their development.

In Nebraska the commercial sites range from $25 - $100 per month for fenced lots to covered storage... There are many farms around the area that store campers too in vacant machine sheds and out buildings. Ask around someone might have a friend who knows a guy......................
