7000 Dry weight 5er and 1/2 ton Dodge with a tall rear gear gives it away also. Not to mention, that the pin weight is probably close to 1500 lbs +. That will put the truck over almost immediately.

Hum, I guess mine is different, according to my tow guide. But I do have a 3/4 ton instead of a 1/2 tonka toy, lol

Never saw a Chevy owner's manual that said no 5ers. Have you got one of those really short play beds? Somewhere around 5 1/2ft?

I do think Keystone should take that statement about being "half ton towable" out of the brochure.

There probably are a few that could do the job but certainly not all.
Silverado 1500HD & F150 with HD payload package come to mind.

I have a 2001 Silverado quad cab short bed 1500HD and we just bought a 30' Four Winds 5th wheel. I took it for a road test this weekend and the truck did well. Trans stayed cool (200 deg) , engine didn't run hot and the engine run about 2500-3000 rpm at 55 to 60 mph. Wondering how it will do in the mountains. I also own a 1500 dodge ram. I have hauled alot of stuff and pulled alot of trailers with it but I don't think it would want anything to do with the 5th wheel. Maybe you could add some springs.

Thank you everyone for your response. I get the picture! I'll go buy a new truck but I will check with all of you once I find one that I like. I don't want to make another mistake. But I do think Keystone should take that statement about being "half ton towable" out of the brochure.

If buying skip the 250/2500. Go with a one ton and just decide SRW or DRW.

well then your need to check it out as my wife 06 owners manual says no 5er/GN recommendation for the SS trim truck.
