Aside for the terrible rattling and clanging what good are the two windsheild fans in our motorhome good for? We are getting ready for a long trip and I am thinking about removing them as they sometimes drive me crazy. Also the dealer mounted our backup monitor underneath the front tv which shakes really bad and I am thinking about moving it as well.
Are there any tricks to keep them from rattling?

my fans are mounted solid and dont rattle at all they do make some fan noise when on high speed ,they help to keep that big windshield clear of fogging in bad weather.a good solid interior keeps things from jumping or moveing around my monitor doesnt move ether, maybe your interior panel above the windshield is loose or not braced right i have no tv mounted over head in the front just cabinets maybe the tv is to heavy causeing the problem when traveling.

Agreed, the defroster won't keep the windshield clear, you need the fans. They are also nice to keep the driver and passenger cool in hot weather. That's a big windshield, if you are heading into the sun the ac helps but doesn't always do it 100%.
I would guess tom_kat is also right about the tv, it isn't braced well enough. Your decision if it is solid enough to stay in place and move the monitor or brace the tv cabinet better.

LOL....the fans are for windshield defrosting and should be facing the windshield.....they were not intended to be turned around for the driver and passenger.....
Ours don't rattle at all, either in our current unit or our '05 Sightseer 30b we used to own.

I use a screwdriver and keep the screws tight... ..if my dealer mounted the camera and it shook or rattled, I would head back to him and make him fix it correctly. You need both items and the fix should be relatively easy....good luck and safe travels..Dennis

I have an overhead TV and installed my backup monitor and two fans under the TV and mine don't shake at all. If your dash and overhead are always shaking you may want to check out the front end and tires. Tires may be out of balance or may have too much air in them for the weight.

My windshield fans don't rattle at all - glad I have 'em on 'steamy' days. My back-up monitor is integral part of dash assy. (2007Sunova)

Here in the desert we have them aimed at the windshield, not at the driver and passanger as one person said. they lare used to move the superheated air that gathers at the windshield when the sun is hitting it. Before I installed mine I had trouble feeling any cold air hitting me when the AC unit was on. When you move some of that hot air around it feels cooler in there. Of course the DW says if I stopped talking for a while it would cut down on most of the hot air.

"Windshield Defrost Fans" on the Winnebago MSRP sticker sheet and also in the owners manual.....
You can turn them around if you wanted to (as we do)....it's just that they were not installed as passenger and/or driver's fans.
