I don't unhook for weeks at a time...

I don't put the stab jacks down either...

I do park so I can level front to rear with the tongue jack if need be...

What is your tow vehicle? Maybe someone here can confirm yours will not kill the battery.

Many, but not all, have a relay that allows the rv batts to charge while the truck is running but will not charge if shut off.

Step 1- exit truck.
Step 2- enter trailer.

That's all we do on overnight stops, and have for years.

We just put down the tongue jack to take some of the weight off of the suspension.

Our TV has an auto disconnect, there is no power running from the TV to the TT when the engine is off.

Oh, when we were newly-weds, we would put down the stabilizer jacks.....

We only unhitch on simple overnight stays if we want to use the truck or the site is too short for both. We put the stabilizer jacks down ONLY if we're in a camp site. If we are in a parking place (Wal-Mart, rest stop, etc.) then we do not put the stabilizers down and level the coach unless we have ample room to put the slides out.

We don't ever unhook at night if we're just pulling over because we're tired. Too much darn work. Sometimes I'll put the stabs down, but usually not. Get up in the morning and you're ready to roll. You'll be fine!

We have camped while hitched but disconnected. Once I had to make a quick run to the park bathroom since we had not filled the water tanks. I did not put the stabilizers down when I returned. We did not know about it until morning, not that we would ever do it on purpose.
