I'm looking for information on air ride suspensions to fit a 2001 E 450.
To date I've found that the MorRyde (not an air suspension) is just about impossible to fit to my chassis.
Ultraride has made one in the past (looked good) but no longer has one for the 450 (In spite of the fact that their website shows one).
I'm presently trying to learn something about the Wellride unit, but so far they haven't responded to emails. There must be other options out there, but as yet we've not found them.
So as usual, we are back at the forum searching for someone with the information we can't seem to find somewhere else.
All input gratefully accepted.

Check on the Link brand or Kelderman for air ride suspensions.

Link is the one which makes UltraRide - - no longer available for the E450. A shame as it looked like a good setup, and would go on without much hassle.
Kelderman did respond to my inquiry, but said they did not have anything either.
Thanks for the input just the same. If we keep plugging, we'll find something.

How about a Firestone Ride-Rite. Applications.
Found them front and rear kits at Summit Racing.
Installed a set on rear of my Kodiak chassis MH.

Thanks Ron - - It came with those installed - - even the remote controlled pump setup too. They help compensate for extra load in the rear, or leveling but only seem to make the ride even more stiff as you add pressure to them.

Every chassis and MH is different. I have not felt any stiffer ride. But at 19,500 lbs when loaded it would take a lot to make ride stiffer.

Absolutely agree with you Ron. I'm only around 12,000 lbs, so one of my biggest problems is that my springs AREN'T really flexing very much. Guess I could run around with full black and gray tanks, but I think there could be a downside to THAT - - lol. I'm given to understand that most of the ambulances have some sort of air bag system for the same reason I want one - - The ride is just too darned harsh with the standard leaf spring setup.

Be glad you aren't able to be considering MorRyde. I had a puck go squish in my old Chinook on an E-350 and it took forever to find the part. Finally did, but in the process it pinched the gas filler against the frame and darn near severed it. While trying to diagnose it I went down the road heeled to one side by 2 inches, and it took 45 minutes to fill the gas tank.
BTW I find that the less I have in the rear, weight wise, (E350 under a Phoenix Cruiser 2350) the less problem I have with steering wander. So I try to travel with just enough water to wash up, and MT waste tanks.

Ralph....I'm just curious...why won't the MorRyde system work. I installed it on my 2003 Shasta (Coachman) E350 last year and I consider it the best improvement I could have made. Initially, I was also told the MorRyde system could not be installed because the black tank was in the way. I solved the problem by moving the tank about six inches forward. (I also could have installed a slightly smaller tank.) I had the system installed at the MorRyde facility in Elkhart. The people were great to work with and the installed price was very reasonable...about $1,100. You might want to investigate the MorRyde option a little more before giving up on it.
