Ok this is a hard recipe to try and talk you through, but here goes..
Down South here we eat gravy,, cream gravy made from using the left over cooking grease with all the flavor and frying up some flour and putting in milk to make a heavenly stuff to pour over potatoes, and of course chicken fried steak.. not that watery stuff that will run through rice and not even get it wet.

Now,, you should know how to make cream gravy but I can do it with out milk!!

Yep,, one year at family reunion for the special breakfast is was always fresh fried wild quail, biscuits and gravy.. Daddy fried the quail and I made the gravy and mother make the Bisquick biscuits..
One year no milk, they were using it for all the babies.. And I already had the flour fried up.. So, I had a big huge bottle of coffee creamer.. I mixed up some of it with water to make a watery milk looking stuff and added it to my fried flour.. Stirred it some and it wasn’t getting thick, so added I a touch more flour and some more of the powered milk and kept stirring.. bout wore my wrist out,, but finally it begin to thicken up. And actually when finished it was creamer tasting than the milk kind. Takes some practice but it will work. Some morning when you are not rushed try it, then when you need to , you can whip it out in no time. give it a try, shoot, if you ruin it,, give it to the dog. won't kill him. :-)

I love it!! I'll keep the idea in mind too. You never know when things like this might come in handy.

When I was in the Marines, many years ago, we ate the real c-rations with canned stuff. If you were lucky enough to get a can of peaches you emptied your packet of coffee creamer in it and had peaches and cream! GOOD STUFF!

Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Because the door was opened!

Don't forget the pound cake. I always saved one or the other until I had both! Or how about: powdered hot chocolate, creamer, sugar, AND that nasty instant coffee all in one... "drink"?

I keep powdered creamer on hand for hot tea- there's just something about that odd slightly "nutty"(?) flavor. Don't even want to know what's in it!

There was that (and heavy drinking ), but I always found the extra $55 a month to be the real incentive!!

On the Oregon Coast, EVERY restaraunt seems to advertise 'Award Winning Clam Chowder' --- we wondered how many awards there are. Anyway, one place had dairy-free chowder --- I asked about it, and it was coffee creamer. Wow, huh?
