We are currently in Sacramento and will be heading for Reno tomorrow. We have asked at the RV Park about local truck stops and nobody knows where we can fill up close to Sacramento - I wondered if any of our readers know of a Gas Station that can take a 40 ft motorhome towing a toad, that's close to Sacramento on the I-80. We are currently staying at Cal Expo RV Park.

I can't help you on stations in Sacramento, however if you check the following url it will show you what fuel prices in different areas.

http://gasbuddy.com/

I assume you know fuel is cheaper in Nevada than around Sacramento. Use the map portion to find where gas stations are located in the area where you are searching and it makes it easier to find the station.

I-80 East out of Sacramento is a long climb until you get close to Reno. Take your time.

Good luck.

It's probably not worth it to drive there, but south on I-5 there is a Flying J or similar truck stop. I'd guess no more than 20 miles south of downtown. But I doubt it's worth driving 40 miles round trip for gas.

There is a 76 station East on 80 in Loomis that will handle your rig. It will be on the North side of 80 and is not that far from where you are, unless you are really on Empty now. I believe it is the Penryn exit.

There's stations all the way up, don't freak out about your rig.
