Here's a picture of my first mounting system for an air x. It's a tip up, pivoting at the top of the sleeper. The sections disassemble in about 5 mintues for stowing. Taller would be better, but sleepers are built fairly light. As an addition to solar panels it's great, but it requires moderate to heavy wind days for the power production to amount to much. Trees and buildings make a huge difference. In the picture, the turbine is so low, the body of the truck caused some turbulence at lower wind speeds.
Thanks MrWizard. Thanks reluyog. Investigated for now and decided that solar and generator will have to suffice. Storage was another issue, although there is some space in the forward passthru.
Depending upon our location and habits when we return, I am going to give this a try. A night time energy source would have made things more comfortable on this long boondocking trip.
