Hi all, I went to get the TH ready to go and noticed a small wet spot under the door to the hose and nozzle of the fuel station. I have turned on the pump and pressurized the system but not actually used the nozzle to fill a can or bike or something. The leak looks to be coming from the threaded connection between the hose and the nozzle itself. Is it possible that the preassurizing of the system is causing the leak? Is there a "teaphlon" tape like product that I could put on the threads of the hose connection to stop the leak? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same thing going on with my nozzle/hose connection (since I bought it 2 years ago). If I have the pump on and do not activate the nozzle I get some slight seepage at the connection of the hose and nozzle. I noticed the white thread goop applied from the factory on mine and thought about redoing to see if it would solve the problem. I just make sure I turn off the pump and drain the hose when I'm refueling before stowing.

I went to the local Northern Tool and purchased a better fuel nozzle as I though mine was cheap. No problems.

for repairs done at home, I'd recommend thread putty like plumbers use on propane or natural gas lines rather than teflon tape. it's often referred to as "pipe dope"... usually the section of lowe's or home depot that has steel pipe is where you find it, where they have the thread cutting machines for custome vut pipes and stuff

Unless something is cracked -fitting or nozzle housing it is a simple job to unthread the nozzle, coat the threads with sealant rated for gasoline service, then reassemble. Teflon tape -even the stuff rated for gasoline sevice does not work well for this application IMO. I like the proper RectorSeal paste product for this usage.
