you can still get one of those converters and use them to get TV with your bat wing. campingworld sells them for $20 with the $40 coupon you can get from the Gov.

I bought the Insignia converter from Best Buy and couldn't be happier. It was $20 after the $40 the government gave me. I get 27 channels now (all as clear as a bell) and got 7 (various degrees of snowy) before. Of course you could get a digital TV, but the converter works well.

The antenna isn't part of the equation since it will work for analog or digital TV.

I am not doing nothing... I have direct TV...
but my understanding is the bat wing antenna will work fine anyway...
it's a analog TV that won't work...

I put a 19" LCD digital TV in mine. Wal-Mart has them pretty cheap these days.

Your antenna will still work just fine. What you need to worry about is your tv. If it will receive ATSC signals then you have nothing to worry about if all it will receive is NTSC then you need a converter box or a new tv.

It is a good reason to tell the wife you need a new TV.
