I recently installed my barker vip 3000 powered jack but there is hardly any room to put my propane tank cover on. I can't figure out how to move my propane tanks back a little. Has anyone had this problem. And yes I did try to move the barker around to see if it would give more clearance. Thanks for the help.

If you have the room, just remove the LP tanks, unbolt mounting plate and move it. Bolt mounting plate back, on replace tanks and you should be good to go.

Our propane tank mounting has always been welded to the trailer frame, so moving it is easy or not, depending on your access to welding. Sometimes you can trim the plastic cover so it fits better or easier.

I have the same problem with our TT. The tank shelf is welded in place and can't be moved. I found that the auto switchover/regulator is the main interference for the cover so I loosen the wing nut that secures the tanks in place and push the regulator as far to the rear as I can then tighten the wing nut. It makes it a little easier but not much. Our cover has holes on top that allow access to the tank valves so the cover only needs to be removed once or twice per year when the tanks need to be refilled.

I've had the same power jack (the one in my signature) on three TT's & haven't had a space problem with any of them.

I also have limited clearance between the power jack and the tank cover. I just have to push or pull a little harder to get the the cover on or off. At least I don't have to worry about the cover blowing off going down the road or in a storm!

No matter what others have told you there is only one way to solve your problem....

place your old jack back on the trailer.

wrap up the Barker and mail it to me.

No more problem.
