We removed our carpet on our 2001 Adventurer. Best thing we did. Bot one thing to watch for. WHen putting slides in/out. Make sure floor is clear of any small stones. We missed one and it gouged our vynal floor. After that I cut a couple peices of plexaglass to put on floor where travled.

Can't speak about slide, don't have one. We put in a laminate floor (did our own) and I would NEVER have carpet again in the living area. nuff said

Has anyone put in Pergo flooring instead of vinyl?

I have tile floors, but there's still carpet on the slide floors.

For those who have ordered with vinyl or removed carpet, is the vinyl on the slide floor(s) too? I'd sure like to see a picture of it.

See my post above. Pergo is a laminate floor brand as is the Armstrong brand I used.

Several years ago we put down vinyl squares that look like parquet flooring. Left the rug under the front seats and doghouse for insulation. Best thing we ever did with the motorhome !

Replaced the carpeting in our MH with laminate this summer everywhere but in the cockpit and the bedroom. It looks great, very warm and up-to-date, and the ease of cleaning is another big plus. It takes very little work to keep it looking nice, and as opposed to carpeting, you can see that it's clean (no hidden dirt/dust/pollen/etc down in the nap). We have throw rugs in the high traffic areas to give it that homey feel, and those we just take out and shake when it's time for a sweeping, and toss 'em in the laundry occasionally.

So yes, I'm very glad I did it, but I wouldn't want to do it again. It was a bit of a job, particularly the trim. Since the factory built it with carpeting, they did not make allowances and/or leave room for quarter round, baseboards, or other kinds of trim in a few spots. It required a bit of trial and error and improvisation in places, but after all was said and done, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

We removed our carpet 2 years ago. We replaced it with Allure vinyl strips from home depot. Easy install, and has been great. We have two westies that love tracking dirt and sand in the MH. Easy to clean, and we have a short runner that collects all the dirt.

I am going to put in laminate in mine and was wondering if anyone removed the linoleum from the galley/dining area or just put the laminate down over it. I will be doing laminate from the galley up to the cockpit.
