We have a 4 door Norcold on our motorhome and we are running on propane(we have no electric right now). We are building an off grid home and we need to buy a propane refrigerator. I found one that uses 1.7 gallons of propane per week, it is not an RV refrigerator.
Can anyone tell me the propane usage on the larger Norcolds? Propane and electric? I was wondering if the Norcold might be better.
Generally, a purpose built model will be better for off grid use- it will be heavier with more insulation, and it will not require 12 volt power for the controls.
