We are planning a trip to Topsail at Christmas this year; Topsail looks perfect for us. We are self contained, but DW prefers the public showers, instead of using our in the FW.
Can't find much on the websites, does Topsail have public showers in their bathhouses/restrooms? I only see two of these on the maps and it is not too specific
Thanks

Yes, they have 2 bathhouses. One is very small (close to the pool) and the other one that is in the 100's section is much bigger. They have about 5 shower stalls and the bathhouses are air conditioned. They are very clean and well maintained.

Thank you - yes - Topsail Hill SP in Florida. I was not very specific - sorry. Has anyone camped along row 138-144? It looks fabulous - on the map - looks like it backs up to wooded area and looks very private. I am amazed that the park is already 1/2 reserved for Christmas. I lead a sheltered life!!!
I read this forum a lot and there are many, many posts about Topsail - it sounds like it is extremely popular.

Actually behind that (138-144) row is another CG row that doesn't show on the map. It's for the volunteer workcampers they employ. The other two sides (115 to 127) do back up to the woods however there is an access road about 10 feet in. It's not used much but it's there. It's a great area to walk the dogs. The brush is thick and there are critters so be prepared. If you don't like critters take a center site.
The park reservations sell out early, but about 1/3 of the sites are held for first come first served usage. I've had reservations for next Easter week since May. They allow making reservations 11 months in advance.

Yes, we just got back a couple of days ago and stayed on site 139. LOVED IT. It was very spacious and I loved the fact that the dirt road behind us was there (were the campground host live). No one used it and it was my short cut to the bathhouses.

I was thinking about that - I am guessing that critters would be fairly inactive in December.
