I just bought a Zenith DTT901 and having trouble hooking it up to a Winegard entertainment select system. I have tried every option and can't get the non digital channels to come in. I do get some of the local digital channels, but when I switch to the regular analog broadcast channel nothing will come in. I've tried it with the amplifier on and off. I did read somewhere about not using the cable with the blue tape on it for the antennae, what cable do I then use? Can anyone help.

The DTT901 has analog pass through. So if you turn it off it should allow the analog stations through to the TV.

How do you have it connected to the TV?

Antenna > Converter > TV (all connections using coax)

In this configuration you would get your digital channels only on TV channel 3. When the converter is off you should get all of the old analog TV channels.

On mine it goes from the antenna booster to the "in," port of the DTV tuner, then the "out," goes back to the antenna side of the slider switch.
I get analog only when the DTV is on, and I scan for channels on the TV.
My TV lets you select cable or air input.
Check yours.

TO j&D Adventure: I had the same trouble with mine.I also have the Zenith with the pass-through. I tried everything. The problem was the antenna head. Changed it out now every thing works beautiful. I receive more channels and beautiful colors. You can borrow antenna head from a friend to try out. Thats what I did. I tore the old one apart and found a deteriated broken wire. You can just replace the head alone at Camper World. Good Luck

Do you have the switch box with lots of buttons? and does it have an "AUX" input that's free? If so, and you don't wish to use the analog pass through on the converter

Use a "Diplexer" (Go to www.radioshack.com and enter the word in the search box)

Power Pass Through lead goes to the ANT lead on the switch box
Non-Power Pass through to the ANT lead on the converter

Common lead to the antenna (Hook the cable currently hooked to the switch box up here)

Feed the TELEVISION lead on the converter to AUX

Then.. AUX with booser on = digital
ANT with booster on = analog

That easy

OPTION 2.. If you don't use your VCR for recording (We don't) put it in front of the VCR.. Then VCR = Digital

Just remember if the VCR is on it will either block or pass.

I put my ACCESS brand in the VCR line.. Were watching it earlier this evening, works great Even the wife figured it out.

Did the same thing, we never used the VCR anyway now that we have DVD, so replaced the VCR with the converter in that section. Now when we want digital push the VCR button, when want analog push antenna button as before, or satellite select satellite. Richard
