For all who are going to Ak and you have been told not to go to Dawson Via Top Of the World, don't believe it. The road is fine, the town is great ( dirt streets an board side walks) with a lot to see. There was a Indian Pow Wow going when we got there and was real nice. As for the road after you get off the ferry just take your time an enjoy the contry. Stop at Chicken (consits of 2 stores and a dredge) an do a litte panning. You will hit paved road a little past chicken on down to TOK. Go for it as it is truly the last frontier.

A strong second on this recommendation. While in Dawson, Check out the Dredge No. 4 on the Bonanza Creek Road. Also drive up to the Midnight Sun Dome for an awesome view of the Yukon River valley.

It can be challenging if you don't have a very, very, very good idea where your wheels are (especially on the passenger side). We made the drive from Chicken to Dawson in rain and got along fine. However, a tow truck came back through Chicken the night we stayed there. It had just gotten a MH back on the road after it got a little to far to the side when meeting a semi. It didn't roll, but that has happened also.

If you're not very comfortable with driving your MH (and very competent), you could have problems----especially if you get in a hurry.
