Anyone else think this is strange? Just surfing RVparkreviews.com and came accross 3 reviews posted by the same person at the same time. They either had some really bad luck at Myrtle Beach or is trying to make it "less popular". I find it hard to believe Ocean Lakes and MB Travel Park would "loose" reservations or not have sites available. The to top it all off, have an awful experience at Lakewood. Read it for yourself and make your own conclusion:

But if it is true, then I am sorry your experience wasn't better, you should give them a second chance in the future.

If any of that were true, they would be out of business. I know for a fact that the review of MB Travel Park is BS, and pretty sure about the others.

We live in MB and have been in all three campgrounds numerous times. Some of what was said in the Lakewood review could have been fact, such as the problem with trees on some sites, the ants (they OWN Myrtle Beach in the summer LOL!!) and the cost of the golf carts and food. Having said that, the same things could happen at any 'mega campground' in a popular area in the summer. What I take exception to, strongly, is the attitude of the workers. It is hard to imagine that EVERY ONE of the people these campers met at Lakewood were as surly, nasty and arrogant as stated. We know several people who work there, and they are pleasant people who are proud to do a good job. Yes, the bath houses may not be sparkling at all times, but that's also because there are so many campers there. The bathhouses are cleaned at least 3 times a day during the busy season - more than most places.
I am unable to believe that the 'big 3' in MB are also unable to keep track of their reservations. Perhaps a deposit was never submitted, so the original ressies were never made 'official'? I worked at a campground in NJ on the reservation desk, and I can't tell you how many times people called for reservations, made them, and then never sent a deposit. Without a deposit, the ressie doesn't exist!
As far as no site being available, I totally believe it during the peak season. Not all sites are the same size, and the 'big 3' in MB have numerous sites that are not suitable for big rigs, rigs with multiple slides, etc.
The postings may be real, but they give a very, very erroneous picture of the large, highly popular and successful campgrounds in Myrtle Beach.

We haven't stayed at OL in 10 years, but when we went to visit a friend who was staying there, we were still in the computer. Hell, a Doctor's office can't keep records for 6 months, and these pro's asked if we still had the Suburban so that they could issue the visitor's pass. I was very impressed. I also call BS on the OP.

Well, I guess no one will ever know for sure, but either they have the worst luck finding RV parks, or they are the kind of people who are never satisfied with anything. When I see a park with all good reviews, and then I see a rating of 1, I always consider that there was something personal involved to get such a low rating. To me, the tip off was the comment from one employee to another stating "You deal with them, because I'm not. You do it". That sounds like an employee that has exhausted her supply of patience, and has become frustrated with trying to reason with someone who is completely unreasonable. Like I said, we will never know for sure, but three ratings of 1 for three seperate parks???

I am the (un)fortuneate editor of those posts. I usually will allow such comments, unless they refer to another campground(which this poster did not). Some campers have an axe to grind, while others work for the competition, and a third category seems to be a group which has never been published which loves to be heard. Be that as it may, choices have to be made, and, perhaps, I was wrong in allowing these. You should see some of the ones I reject!!
