Hi Everyone,
Just a curious question-When we travel we usually plug our fridge in 24 hours prior, load it up with food and while on the road the fridge runs on the gas. When we arrive at the campground the fridge will then run on the electric. A friend of ours just bought a travel trailer, also a sunset creek and the dealer told him not to run the gas on the fridge while traveling because there has been some incidents of fires. Anyone have any feedaback on this? Thanks!

My Sunline says it's OK to run the fridge on gas when traveling, which I do, and haven't had a problem.

Another RVer here that also runs with the fridge on. No issues to date, other than the recall that now includes 06's.

You'll find both opinions on the forum.... I run on gas also. I believe the majority of others do also.

i put mine on gas 2 days before we load up so it will get cold and then while on the road it stays on too, nothing like having to wait for hot stuff to cool down in a hot fridge

Mine's on LPG 24/7 from April to October!
Except when I'm refueling.
My fridge is always cooler on LPG, whether there's shore power or not. If I'm not using my TH, there's my home-bottled water jugs inside which pretty much fill the fridge.
