Who said anything about a 40 ft anything, as if that would necessarily make a difference.
He probably has a 11k or 13k, which will most times run on a 20 amp circuit. You see, I know,...because I've done it,...many times
Using adapters is not juryriggin, or being cheesy about anything.
There is NOTHING dangerous about using adapters.

Don't let them sell you a service you don't want !
They just don't read questions very well.
And yes, the adapters work fine, and you can probably even run 1 A/C on 15 amps too.
Uh.....no, not really. One 40' DP will trip a 15-amp circuit breaker, when they flip-on just one roof A/C.
It's extremely hard on BOTH the MH and the homes lines.
OP, spend what you need to to do it right. A separate, dedicated 30 amp box on the outside of your dwelling, is the way to go. I love my set-up for myself and company!
Trying to jury-rig it is so cheesy, and potentially dangerous! Better safe, than sorry!

I have my 5ver plugged into a 20 amp GFI recepticle. If I need to do some work or clean the camper, I run the A/C with no problem. I would not run it all day or night, but for a couple of hours I see no problem.
PS: I am in the process of building a shelter for my 5ver. Where I will install 30/20 and maybe a 50 amp recepticles.
Lowes has a 50 amp outdoor outlet and a combo 50amp/20amp GFCI 70amp total outdoor outlet. Made by Midwest elect, Midland brand. I am in the process of putting in the 70 amp panel with 6 awg copper to a 50amp breaker in my main panel. The wire is sized for 50 amps so the breaker protects the wire. Everything iaw nec.
If you opt for 30 amps, PLEASE make sure you, or the person doing the install, understands the difference between typical 30 amp/240v service typically found in houses for dryers and 30 amp/120v used for an RV plug.
As Bumpy said....The answer to your question is YES.
The fool learns from his own mistakes.
It is the wise man who learns from the mistakes of others.
"Is there any problem with hooking my rv to the house using a 50 to 30 adapter then a 30 to 110 adapter to the house???"
I think Bumpy and I both misread your post. Actually the answer is NO.
There is really no "problem" with doing this. You just won't be able to power everything in your coach but that does not sound like what you are trying to do anyhow.

yes, you are right, No is the correct answer.

I do it all the time. Run my 15k ac too. But I wouldn't use the microwave at the same time.
Also, as expressed above, your particular situation may vary. You also should take consideration for what else is powered on that same circuit, i.e. Freezer in the garage... etc.
