You're likely moving up in weight as well so not surprising with fuel prices the heavier units are coming down in price.

Have never owned any of these, but not so sure they are "a lot better built" than a Montana. Especially the Jayco Designer. JMHO.

Brother just got his 08 3000RK yesterday.
Had me go over it real well, Looks to be a good unit.
I think it will serve them very well.
Same floor plan as my Laredo 29RK. Noticed that lots of the construction
on his unit was the same as my Laredo, But a Keystone is a Keystone.
Good luck with your unit and Happy Camping.

That is not what the OP asked. Why is it so difficult to stay on subject. He did not ask for input about about any othe line...

Again www.montanaowners .com is the place to get information..Hundreds of owners

That will give you the good, bad and the ugly.

Weve also got a 2007 307RKD and love it. After owning for over a year now we've had zero issues and love the rear kitchen. We are in the midst of shopping for a big sectional J lounge sofa to fill the slide out, replacing the current sofa and freestanding dinette. The Dinettes never been used and we'd like more space to relax when the weathers no so nice.

We had a Montana and loved it. Would still have it but traded for something with a different floor plan. Montana did not have that floor plan.
We had good luck with our Montana and the trade in value was good. I think it was only on the lot about a month before it sold.
Had a rear kitchen too. That was nice too.

We own a 2006 3295RK. So far nothing has gone wrong except a suitcase hit the front of the fireplace and tore it loose. It only had one screw on each side holding it in place. I removed the facing material and inserted three screws in each side of the sheet metal to hold the fireplace in position. When I reinstalled the facing material, I enlarged the screw hole to accomodate new buttons to cover the screws. Looks a lot better with the new covers. Other than that one mishap, nothing has gone wrong and my DW loves the Montana. I especially like the king bed it came with as it is very comfortable for both myself and the DW. There is plenty of room for everything we desire to carry and we're under Max Weight.

We are looking at Rear Kitchen 5th wheels right now and I have read a few reports about issues with things breaking because of the rear kitchen and bouncing around etc. Have any of you had issues with this. My wife is pretty set on the rear kitchen but she doesn't want all of her dishes broken every trip either.

Thanks,
Dennis

Dadda,

My wife cut that shelf liner stuff, sort of a rubber mat with holes in it, into circles just a little bit larger that the dishes she stacks. Puts one in between each plate and bowl. Keeps them from moving. For glasses, she cuts long thins strips, about 3in wide, and curls it in between the glasses. So far, with over 5000 miles using this method, no breakage.

Pots and pans are kept down low so no movement.

Canned goods and bottle are kept on the lowest shelves (cabinets) and so far things that are tall, just fall over. No breakage.

Our rear kitchen does not "bounce" that hard that things go flying everywhere. So far we have not been off road with it and when I leave pavement, I just take it slow.

Hope that helps some.

IMHO, the Montana is a half step above my Travel Supreme River Canyon and mine is a half step above the Jayco Designer. This is not to bad mouth any brand - all are very nice.
