Was this a brand new trailer or used? On my travel trailer, the AC filter HAS to be clean, if not you restrict air flow across the evaporater and not only will the cooling be lower but the evaporator will freeze up.

If its brand new, not sure what to think. If your interested in the trailer I"d measure the temp on the closest vent to the AC then measure the return air vent. On a home unit, from what I remember, you should have between 15 and 20 differential. More the better but I"m betting with RV AC's, your going to sit closer to 15.

I"m sure people with more experience or are AC techs might chime in.

No experience even seeing one of these up close, but the floor plan the factory sent my dealer was pretty sweet. We ended up with the 315BH due to a great deal as it was sitting for a long time on his lot, and I felt the 3556 was too much trailer for our GMC.

Was the AC unit on this one a 15K? Maybe the dealer would one up it for you if not? 2nd AC unit option? How about the electrical service, already 50A?

Is that the one with the Island down the center. If so, I saw pictures of it and it is real nice. I decided on the Cedar Creek for a few reasons but that was a very close second for me.

I would be surprised to see it cool much in that kind of heat with only 1 AC.

Does you rv have a cold air dump on the square return grate? That would be a slide that would allow more cold air to dump out into your main living area in order to cool off the majority of space, then you close it(which stops the air from coming out on the square grate),and diverts it to push air out of the ducts throughout the rv. Just a thought. Hope it helps!

I have a new 325 KZ and i made them put another a/c in it. Let me tell you...it doesn't seem to work that well until the sun goes down when it has been out all day in the heat...I was very upset thinking with both a/c's running it would cool off faster, it didn't and it seems like hardly any air is coming out but it does.....My friend has an 08 Montego Bay from KZ and he said the same thing....However, the 13500btu cooler in the bedroom really helps cool things off faster then the 1 a/c that u have....

I live in AZ and have a Forest River Sierra 38SP with a single 15K AC that puts out exceptiopnally cold air but it still takes a while to cool down the trailer in Phoenix. Everything is heatsoaked to 100+ degrees and so is radiating back that heat as the AC struggles to remove it. It will take a good 2+ hours to cool it down. Mine has the quick cool feature that bypasses the ducts and blows all the air right in the main living area and this helps. Mine also has an 11 foot garage and I keep the door and duct to that area closed....I don't even try to cool it. It also helps to keep the slides in until it is cooled down.... less area to cool and less exposure to the sun. You really need 2 AC units for trailers this big in this kind of heat.

I have a 2006 Escalade with the 15k ducted unit in the front and a 13k unit in the bedroom. I too have very little air flow from the ducts and since there are only 4 ducts in the living area and 5 ducts in the bedroom area you can imagine how little air I get in the bedroom. We are having 100+ days also and since no one is home during the day, we keep the front unit on 80 degrees and shut the bedroom off. When I get home it takes both the bedroom and front running full blast to get it comfortable. I wish KZ would have ducted the bedroom a/c with the front unit like I had on my National MH, it sure helps to have both units pushing air thru the ducts. Also with the return air in the ceiling, you get a lot of short cycling on the air return if you don't position the registers to blow away from the return air.
I believe 2 more register in the kitchen area and 2 less in the bedroom area would have been a better design. You can walk from the cold bedroom and soon as you step in the kitchen, it's like crossing into the equator because there are no ducts in the kitchen area. Something else I found, when they put in the registers, there was a plastic sleeve thru the ceiling space into the ductwork, and several register had this plastic sleeve pushed into the TOP of the ductwork preventing any air flow. I took all of the sleeves out and cut them down to fit into the center of the ductwork.
