Just wondering how any individuals that own an automatic awning put patio lights on them.
My Seneca 35GS has an automatic awning that is sealed on both ends by the mechanism used to roll it up and down. I have no access to the awning channel that I used on manual awnings in the past.
The Senica has only one exterior light on the awning side located between the entry door and and a slide out. When slide is extended, the light is useless except for illuminating the entry steps and the side of the slide. So far my only solution is to lay some rope lights out on the ground, and I am not pleased with that.

I seriously miss my lights!

I have the power awning on my Greyhawk and it has a channel in in the roller to insert the hangers. I use rope lights to illuminate under the awning and they seem to work great.

I have the 36FS and mine has a rubber strap that can be undone to access the channel. I found some fabric straps at the Rally that can be left in the channel when rolled in, very nice option with such a hard to reach awning.

crop guy,

Do these fabric straps have metal grommets in them?

No metal in the straps, they velcro to form the loop to hook up your lights or whatever else you choose to hang.

Pigkisser, I'll visit the bus this weekend and get a pic and see if I still have the company information to pass on.

That would be great, because I have the same questions as Scott.

The product I bought is called rollumup. I googled and they came up under www.rvupgrades.com, $11.99 for the set, I bought 2 for $20 at the Rally and they work great for me. I went to the bus to look for them and ended up at North Shore Resort in Greensboro, GA camping with my two boys.
